When it comes to staying sober, sometimes you just have to get “outta Dodge”. Taking a mini-vacay and getting out of town, might just be the key to keeping your sanity. While you can certainly curb daily stress and anxiety with Mitadone, your mind and body might just need an actual break away from it all. Why not hit the road for a mini break?
Where To Go
You don’t have to fly anywhere crazy expensive, you can take a short road trip and stay in a B&B or boutique hotel for two nights and still get the same feeling you would if you went on a two week beach holiday. Pick places within a four hour drive. Some of my favorite cities for this are ones just off the beaten path. Then again, if you’re feeling rebellious WOW airlines offers super-cheap flights to Iceland for $99 and up.

Where To Stay
When it comes to booking affordable, yet luxurious accommodation I checked it out myself - and wow. Most cities have some great 3 and 4 star rooms for under $100 a night. My favorite site to secure a booking for hotels is booking.com. Most hotels come with a cancellation policy, so you can always book and cancel last minute if needed with no to low fee.

If you’re looking for something a little more private, my favorite is Airbnb. You can stay in a private cottage for $50 a night, an Organic Urban Farm for $90 a night, or an Estate Home near the beach for as low as $100 a night. The hosts are always super-hospitable, the locations are all very safe, and your payment is done online so no money physically exchanges hands. Airbnb hosts are also really good at accommodating any needs, so don’t be afraid to ask them for something if you need it!

No matter where you choose to go, get out of your comfort zone. You can do this alone too! It’s a great way to make new friends and meet new people. Take yourself out for a really nice meal, take in some local sights, read a book, relax in bed or have a long bath - just give yourself a sweet break!
